Choco Latte This Greek duo's demo has all the elements I listen for and want to hear in black metal. Ithaqua might be a new entity, but they nail the old sound perfectly. Favorite track: Abyssic Journey To The Elder Demons.

Ruarc Sounds like a blend of early Rotting Christ, Varathron and Tatir. This demo contains all that is great about 90's Hellenic BM, it catchiness, majesty, even sharing that warm, yet unpolished production with the old guard. Looking forward to more brilliance from Ithaqua.

Travis Niemeyer Dark, very traditionally Hellenic in sound, sharp, and on cassette. This is oh-so my thing.

Mikolaj is a real multi-talent in bass as well as guitar as well as vocals and "Darkside" Maciej's drumming is a well-calibrated 100th-of-seconds-clockwork. Not for nothing is Mgla considered as a standard for a lot of other blacker-than-black metal bands. I hope to see this band live once..... grote_smurf
