Great evil stuff, could be unearthed demo's from some obscure mid-eighties band from either side of the Atlantic but the paradox is an obscure band from that time could have never achieved such a level of tightness and production values ;-) These evil nasties perfectly straddle that divide between 'ancient and pure' on one side and 'crafty and listenable' on the other. Whatever way you look at it, it's stuff that makes you max your amp and bang your head in praise of timeless anti-cosmic forces Stijn Van Hees
Mikolaj is a real multi-talent in bass as well as guitar as well as vocals and "Darkside" Maciej's drumming is a well-calibrated 100th-of-seconds-clockwork. Not for nothing is Mgla considered as a standard for a lot of other blacker-than-black metal bands. I hope to see this band live once..... grote_smurf
Swirling guitars, furious drums, vocals that at the same time howl from infinite distance and are right up in your head; everything put into dissonant form with the help of unconventional songwriting. This album is my personal key to the icelanding black metal madness that I've ignored for way too long! Lukas Kaufmann
An unbelievable intersection of talent and ambition. This is one of the most impressive records in modern death metal and the sheer scope of it is absolutely fucking mind-boggling. Certainly not for the faint of heart given that it's a triple album, but every second is just magic- and the presentation of the box set is absolutely amazing! Brandon Corsair
