Tortura opens with a set of ragged, filthy chords that resound with power & clarity; but the accelerated & bland Blasphemy riffs that creep in at times are unfortunate. Compositionally rather formulaic, yet at least the EP sounds ferociously feral in spirit. The drummer hammers the snare in desperation, while Tomas Stench barks in his billy-goat-gruff occult vocal style. The diversity stuffed into these four tracks make this EP totally fun! xhrl_
